My Bio

The energy of crystals and the power of colour in the original artworks of Zuzana Hradilová, between Expressionism and Material Informalism

The artist has successfully combined her two passions—painting and gemstones with their incredible energy—bringing to life artworks where the concreteness of crystals is harmonized with the power of colors.

Slovak artist Zuzana Hradilová, drawn to art since childhood, later developed a profound passion for crystals and gemstones. She decided to start creating jewelry as a self-taught designer, launching her own collection where gemstones and crystals, with their positivity and energetic power, take center stage. Her fascination with the energy radiating from stones became a deep passion, which she also incorporates into her paintings. Eventually, her creativity led her to explore a new path—allowing the stones to interact with her paintings, transforming them into tangible artworks that envelop and captivate the viewer with the magic of their energetic presence.

Zuzana Hradilová’s painting style is multifaceted, as her creativity cannot be confined to a rigid framework. She expresses herself based on the emotions of the moment, seamlessly shifting from Art Deco-inspired portraits to expressionism—sometimes enriched with texture—while other works develop purely through color. Many of her pieces lean toward informalism, where the image fully surrenders to concept and feeling. Regardless of style, her works exude absolute freedom, reflecting an approach free from strict rules, structured only by the need to follow and indulge her creative instinct. This extends not only to her artistic language but also to the diverse materials she employs—ranging from paper and glass to canvas—each chosen based on the emotions of the moment

Zuzana Hradilová actively participates in numerous group and solo exhibitions both in Slovakia and abroad, consistently receiving recognition for the originality and positive message of her works.
